Open air evangelistic crusades are conducted regularly throughout
the year. Our priority is to focus upon areas that have not been impacted
by the Gospel. However, from time to time we do conduct crusades in
cooperation with local churches in an effort to strengthen their work
in the local community.
Our crusades usually run for one week. Prior
to this time we have a team that will go into the area and
begin making arrangements for location of the crusade and
housing facilities or as is often the case, locations where
we can set up our tents for housing.
Long before the crusade we begin a season
of fasting and praying in which we focus upon the village
and surrounding areas where the crusade will take place. Prayer
also starts the day during the crusade week. Long before sunrise
our teams are up and seeking God in prayer.
After breakfast teams are sent out into schools,
prisons and throughout the surrounding villages. These teams
will do such things as preach the gospel, pray for villagers,
distribute bibles and literature.
After the completion of the crusades,
we will return to the area in a few weeks to monitor and assist
in helping with the discipleship.
